Meghan and Luke met in Charlotte, NC when we were all single, living in apartments, 20 something year olds. We were new teachers, exploring the world trying to find our way as 20 somethings do. Anyway, they moved back to their hometown in Pittsburgh, got married, and have 2 children. They are both still teaching...Meghan in the burbs and Luke in the inner city. They invited and welcomed us into their house for a few days in July of this year. We had a great time. Old friends really are the best of friends.
Here are my children at 3:50 am on July 22nd. That crap about, "If you go on a long road trip, travel in the middle of the night, so your children will sleep." is CRAP. These children did not close their eyes until about 7 am. Aiden and Autumn took turns screaming their heads off the first 2 hours. It was not fun.
Love these tunnels that go through the mountains. Autumn loved them too. She would be screaming her head off, and we would go through one, and she would start smiling.
Autumn is enjoying a little bit of reading as we travel. She loves to look at magazines and catalogs. I wonder what she is thinking?!?!?!
Austin is hands down, the world's best 2 year old traveler. He never screamed or threw a fit. He just chilled. He would have done even better if Autumn and Aiden didn't try to steal his toys and books. Notice he is the middle because if the other two were beside of one another, World War 3 would have broken out!
Another mountain view...wonder if there are vampires like Edward out there?
